In recent years, the quality of our home, planet Earth, decreased. So we need to do something for it, if not the adults, at least us, the future generation. It is our duty to take back the forest and to restore the pureness of all the green areas. This includes Techirghiol as well!
Ruxi came up with some solutions for the problems mentioned, now let's revise them:
To use the scientific way of working, we first made some experiments on the water of the lake, so that we can fairly see what the pollution is looking like. We found out that there are no heavy metals in the water, so this means there are no spills from the houses in the lake. Something bad that we saw was that the salinity of the water decreases, in the difference of chlorine of the usual sink water and the lakes. There can be one reason for this: the existence of some sweet water springs in the lake. We suggest the immediate founding of these springs and the capturing of the water.
In the industry o breakwaters, there are two main categories: the harbor ones, and the beaches ones. For the specific case of Techirghiol, we need a beach breakwater. What is it good for? It lowers the forces of the waves, so that the beaches, respectively the perisip, maintain their typical tilt of slopes. By this, we can keep all the properties of the barrier between the sea and the lake as usual.
Sergiu talked the most with the locals, and he found out interesting things: 80% of the locals are not very satisfied width the conditions of the lake’s water, but only 30% want to do something to change the problems, as seen in our study done with the form. They also want to see improvements in the development of the touristic places made with a taste of traditional fashion. So in conclusion, sustainability is important for a large majority of people, but there is a big need for advertising campaigns to make the people want to do something for the change.
